Meet Delores! 

This 2-year-old has been here a really long time…just about FIVE MONTHS. It’s crazy she hasn’t been adopted (but I say that about all the dogs, huh?). 

Delores is a nice medium sized pittie girl with an all-white coat and little chocolate freckles on her ears + HAZEL eyes. I find her to be quite the eye catcher, but apparently not. :/ 

Staff and volunteers have found Delores to be a cool cucumber. While not a total lazy butt, she is calm and gentle with adults AND children. Great on the leash, whether walking or jogging and super attentive to her handler–it’s obvious this one is pretty bright. She knows basic obedience commands and is learning more every day, as well as being housebroken. 

The only thing holding Delores back is that she has shown some dog reactivity in the shelter, but often times, dogs leave the shelter and stop being reactive–that being said, IF you have another dog, we would require a meet and greet and that you be pretty dog experienced. She has tolerated SOME other dogs well, but we do not want to take chances and make a bad match.

This pretty girl deserves a fair chance at life outside the shelter. Can you or someone you know give that to her?
